About Palouse Pooch Playground
The Palouse Pooch Playground Was Founded to See More Tails Wagging in the World!
Heidi and her husband Scott have always had dogs, but living on a few acres on Spokane’s South Hill their dogs have always had plenty of room to run and play. Early 2020 Heidi was walking a friend’s dog and noticed all of the dogs in the neighborhood. She thought the neighborhood dogs would be happier if they had time to run and play with other dogs. Thus sprouted the idea of the Palouse Pooch Playground.
We commit to provide a safe and loving environment for dogs.
How does this work?
It all begins with a complimentary Meet and Greet. During your Greet and Sniff we will introduce your dog to some of the other dogs at the Playground. Our goal will be to make sure tails are wagging! Schedule your Meet and Greet by calling/texting 509-655-8899 or emailing info@palousepooch.com.
After your Meet and Greet we will schedule the first visit for your pooch to be at the playground. On your first visit we recommend an early arrival, as close to 7 a.m. as possible. That way your dog will be one of the first at the playground and can meet new companions as they arrive, rather than coming in to a full playground.
When you come for pick up at the end of the day we will review the activities of the day together and decide if your pooch is a fit at the playground.
What happens if there is trouble at the playground?
If negative behavior arises at any point we begin with a first step of distraction to stop any troubling behavior. Should a distraction not work we will isolate a dog to allow time to calm. The playground has an isolation area that is not visible to any other dogs.
What are the hours at the Playground?
We are open Monday through Friday 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. reservations are recommended
Are there requirements for dogs at the Playground?
Yes, because we want all dogs to be safe we require rabies certificate, vaccinations for DHLPP (Distemper, Hepatitis, Leptospirosis, Parvovirus and Parainfluenza), Bordetella and Spay/Neuter for all dogs six months and older. We also check all dogs for fleas upon arrival each day.
Where will my dog play?
We have two outside fenced areas, each with double entrance/exit gates. We also have inside space for resting or when the weather is not condusive for outside tail wagging play.
How do I pay for services?
You can pay for services by:
- Paying in person with a credit or debit card, or by cash or check.
- For your convenience we can also easily process online payments through Venmo.
What happens if I cannot pick up my dog by 7 p.m.?
Because we are not set up for overnight guests at this time we will charge $1 per minute tardy.
Will you feed my dog?
Yes, we will happily separate your dog at a time designated by you and feed your dog any food you provide.
Will you give my dog their medicine?

Do you offer grooming?
